MAGISTRATE'S COURT. (Before E. H. Carew, Esq.. 8.M.) Robert Lochhead v. Harry Chillingworth (Dunsandel).—Claim, £3, hire due.—Judgment for amount, with costs (£1 2s). —Mr W. L. ""Moore for plaintiff. Esq., S.lfcl Breach of the Peace.—George Bajn, sen., and George Bain, jun., were charged with threatening behaviour on the 7th inst. Mr Irwin appeared for both accused, who pleaded not guilty.—Sub-inspector Kiely, in stating the case, said that the conduct complained of occurred in Moray place. The son was under the influenoe of drink, and a fi?ht occurred between the two while the father was taking him home.—After hearing the evidence the Magistrate, said he would make allowance for the father, but the circumstances were no excuse for the fight> H'' would be fined ss, and the son 10s. By-law Cases. Hugh Phimester was fined 10s for driving a vehicle without a license, the circumstances being of an aggravating oWer.—William O Evans was fined 5s for allowing a cow to wander inthe, Main road, North-east Valley.—A. fine of 5s for keeping an unregistered dog was imposed upon each of the following:—William Neeg, Frederick Meyer, William White, Andrew Cullen. John J. WiUs, Leonard Pavletich, Emanuol Chamberlain. Robert Hastie (two cases), and, Edward Connor.
