[Special to i-s Stak.] ,c CHRrarCIHURCH. September 18 Mr S. D. Barker, son of Dr Barker, one of Canterbury's pilgrims, died last nijrht He rrnved in Christchurch with his father m 1850. After leaving school he became a farmer, and was ultimately appointed hbrar.an of the Supreme Court. He was - aso secretary of the local branch of the St. John Ambulance Association, and secretary of the Domain Board. He married a daughter of the late Colonel Lean.
