New# basdbeen received-of "the death ,at Nelson-of Mrs Lnbecki, who for-many years was a well-known figure hi Dunedin. She wee the widow of Prince-. De Lnbecki, a Polish noble, who was proscribed for the part be took in the historic struggle for Poland’s freedom. She is survived by two children—Mr A. D. Lnbecki, who for-eo long had -charge of the telegraph office at Dunedin, and Mrs Pogrom The deceased princess, who was aged eighty-six, was a native of Kent, England. She had resided in Kelson for the last six years. Among the visitors at present in Dnncdin is Mr Fred Fox, the much-travelled representative of Messrs Scott and Bowne, of London and' New York. Mr Fox arrived by tie Monowai,.and will make a tbur-of'the colony.
