The abattoir question was again discussed by the Christchurch City Council last evenr ing. The city surveyor reported that he had found the falls propo«ed for a 9 n pipe unworkable, and recommended the disposal of the drainage by the septic tank system. Another plan was to elevate the foul water f»rm. The matter was referred to a special committee to report.
