NELSON MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS.
NELSON, January ID. The City Council have decided to (.ate a vote of lh« ratepayers as to the proposal to borrow £46,000 for improving the water supply, £15,500 of which is to be devoted towards paying off the present loan. The estimated coat of the new works is about £30,000. ' Mr W. H. Vernon and Mr H. H. Vincent, both well known in Australia, are appearing in Mr Sydney Grundy’s new play, * A Debt of Honor,’ in the Old Country.
