THE WINTER SHOW.

Thera was another large attendance at the winter show last evening, and the total adii ids ion receipts were brought up to Over £SOO.

Tlie show closes this evening, when there will doubtless be another large crowd present, no would remind patrons of the guessing competitions, for which generous prizes are awarded—that for the fortunate one who makes the nearest guess of the date and hour of the British flag being hoisted in Pretoria being the .Singer Manufacturing Company’s fourteenguinea sewing machine. The guessing of Kruger’s weight and of the weight of the pen of fat sheep should also prove interesting. The fat stock were sold yesterday, when a new departure was made in conducting the sale in the Victoria Hell, away from where the sheep are penned. Tho selling was done by catalogue, as is the case in wool and skin sales, and did away with the usual scrambling and hustling about the pens. The sale was successful, good prices being realised.
