LAND BOARD.
The weekly meeting of the Land Board was held to-day, and attended by the Chief Commissioner of Crown Lauds (Mr J. P. Maitland) and Commissioners C lark, Da!la», Duncan, and Kirkpatrick. Thomas Jones applied for time for the removal of \.U stock from sinall-grenog run 12Jh, Budle, in the event cf his not again obtaining a lease.- Granted, fourteen days beiag allowed.
W. Eefftinan applied for a license to oceapy the unfenced portion of the mining reserve aroupd Nenthom.—Referred to Banger Atkinson for a repor. Edward Sickey applied to be allowed to' acquire, under lease in perpetuity, sections 32 to 37, block 8, Crookston.— Referred to ranker for a report. James Black, on behalf of his daughter, Elizibcth Black, applied for her exemption from residence upon tm ill-grazing run 2bln, Poolbnm. Granted, lessee living with her parents. James Delaney applied to be allowed to exchange the license be held over portion of land on block 3, Woodland, for a lease in pe petuity. —Referred to Hanger Hughan for a report. Banger Atkinson forwarded valuation of imptovenvnfs upon run 454.—Va nation of £9l 19s 6d approved. W. U. Ruth.rfird applied for the grating right over the Wbarekuri coal reserve iu block 6, Kurow, adjoining his run No. 7 of 23.—Beferred to Hanger Atkinson for report. Hanger Atkinson reported upon the complaint made by A. Caimichael against John £dmonston for fencing in portion of watering place, Moeraki.—lt was resolved that the Board take np action. O. J. Hordera applied for a license to occupy quarti f-acre of the foreshore at Moeraki as a site for biatshed and elip.—Granted under see- ; ion 222 of tho Act at a rental of 10s per annum, with license fee. Kwen Cameron wrote accepting a year's license over small grazing run at Nenthorn, and asked that he be allowed valuation for turnip crop he intended sowing during the coming year. —The Board agreed to allow valuation for turnips at the end of the term of the license. Kangcr Atkinson reported upon the applicat;on by Mrs .Agce* Wade to purchase her residence area fite, and about quarter-acre fronting gam?, in b'ocfc 3, Elacsstone.—Purchase ap-> proved at a capital valu; of 20<; suivey fees to be repaid. 'i he following appicarionß were approved:— For i-.n additional sec ion at UeathfielJ: Thomas Dewar, section 17, block 11, Tautuku. Lease in perpetuity tor forfeiture: John Swan sections 8 and 21, b!ook b, Kankleburn.

"William Bremnrr applied for a license to occupy stcrioQ 52, block 10, Glenkenich.— Graut-.J, at 10a per acre; to be included is lio°ns<s for section 44. Ranger Atkinson reported upon the following unsold eecti ns in the town of Hyde:—Sections 28, 29. and 36, block 3. sections 1, 2, and 9, block 4. factions 2, 4. 5, and 7, block 5, and geotioni 7, 8, fi, and 10, block 7.—Sections 28, 29, and 36, bloc< 3, to be effeed at auction at upset of 50a per section as suburban land, and b< ctions mentioned in blocks 4, 5, and 7 to be offered as suburban Lnd at an upset of £5 per acre. John Gunn wrote in regard to the forfeiture of his perpetual lease section 58, block 1, Warepa.—lt was resolved to rescind forfeiture on applicant paying six months' rent, at d effecting residence. Arthur Smith applied for time for removal of bis stock from rmill-grazing run 199*; Teviot, in the event of his not securing the lease.—To be allowed fourteen days frem date of sale. James Davidson declined to t3ke a license .over sections 51 and 52, block 10, Glenkenich.— Received. William Kirk applied for a licsnpe to occupy sections 51 and 52, block 10, Glenkenich. —Declined. John Thompson, on behalf of Thomas Ryan, applied for a license to occupy an area of 6i 3r lip of the raining reserve adjoining block 10, town of Havelock —Granted under section 116 of the Act, at a rental of 10s per annum, with license fee. John M'Kay applied for rural land on lease in perpetuity, sections 8, 9, and 12, block 10, JN'asr by. —Approved. "W. R. Moore applied to transfer to Eobert Smith sections 1 and 2, block 9, Waipori.— Approved. Commissioner Eirkpatrick and Ranger Atkinron reported, as requested by the Board, upon posit'on of the Tokorahi Estate.—Report approve!.
