TASMANIA v. VICTORIA. New Zealanders have every reason to feel satisfied with the form shown by their representatives on Monday and yesterday. The mail which arrived to-day brings papers giving the results of the Tasmania-Victoria match played at Hobart a week ago. Six of the team—Burn, M'Allen, Eady, Ward, Hawson, and Paton—who played against NeW Zealand also took part in that game, whicli resulted in a decided win for the home plavert. Tasmania scored 384 (Ward not but 97, Eady 92, Hawson 40) and 369 (K. E. Burn 119) against 211 and 177 by Victoria, Tasmania thus winning by 365 runs. For the winners Eady took seven wickets for 66 runs, and five wickets for 63. Australia in the first test match against tie Itest of Australia, to be played in Sydney in the first week in March, will be represented by Worrall, M'Leod, Tramble (Victoria), Gregory, Kelly, Noble, Iredate, M'Kibbin (New South Wales), Hill, Jones, Darling (South Australia),
