Sewing Machines.—Singer Manufacturing Company, first award ; also special award for art work done by the machines in the judges' presence. Messrs W. Dennes and Sons withdrew their exhibit from competition. , , Ammunition.—The Colonial Ammunition Company, Limited (Auckland), first prize and gold medal for patent safety blasting fusee for firing explosive charges under all conditions, manufactured by Messrs Bennett and Sons (Canibo ne. England) and John Burns and Co. (Auckland). .The Defence Department, Government of New Zealand, awarded highest award for guns and ammunition, small aims and ammunition, submarine luiuing test, and liricg room and Wnite-hi-a-.i t >rpedo. Coffee.-St. George Preserving Works (Dunedin). commended; David Strang (Invercargill), commended for s-oluble co !ee powder.' Preserved Milk, cond nfed (sweetened) and pasteurised (unsweetened).— \V. T. Murray and Co., first award ; H. Nestle (per A. H. Nathan, local agent), first award and gold medal. The judges reported that all brands of this milk were perfection itself.
