THE SHIP SOUKAR IN A GALE.
SIX MEN WASHED OVERBOARD, AND THE CAPTAIN INJURED. The local agents have received advice from London stating that the ship Soukar, which left Glasgow toe Dunedin on June 2S last, and which put into Mauritius at the end of September in consequence of her rudder and other parts of the vessel being damaged, had six men washed overboard in a terrific gale. Captain Wood pad both ilia legs broken, but it is anticipated that he would be well enough to Continue the voyage on the ship, which was to leave Mauritius abtut the 7th of this month. No word, however, has yet been received of her departure.
