TheEpanish; authorities in Cuba have sentenced a niece of President Cieneros, a beautiful young lady of twenty, to penal servitude for life at Geita, a Spanish fort in Morocco. The charge preferred against herwas-rebellion.
_ The _ sentence has aroused intense indignation throughout the United States; The widow of Jefferson Davis and many of the leading ladies are petitioning the Queen Regent of :Spain in regard to the case. It is alleged, that the young lady rejected the, advances of General Woyler’s adjutant, and the charge is the outcome of his revenge. .
