On Saturday night, when 1 Queen’s Evidence ’ was given, a very successful performance resulted, several of the characters being really well played. Mr Lucas himself, in the part of Gilbert Medland, was at his best, and scored many points; and Mrs Dunbar, ns bis wife, helped him to a considerable extent. Hill, with his boisterous humor in the part of Jonas Isaacs, raised a laugh every time he appeared. Miss Lilian Chester, Miss Nell Ogden, Miss Alice Johns, and Messrs J. Manville, Phillips, Tanner, and Furtado played minor parts satisfactorily. The Albert Lucas Company gave an entertainment well worth patronising.
