EXCITEMENT INFRINGE
ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION OF THE PRESIDENT. (Pbb Press Association.—Copvkight,] PARIS, June 14. A great sensation was caused in France by a supposed attempt on the life of the President. M. Faurc was driving to Longchamps to witness the race for the Grand Prix do Paris, when a roughlymade bomb was thrown from a standing crowd. It exploded close to the open carriage in which M. Fauro was driving. Taking advantage of the excitement, the would-be assassin managed to make good his escape. An examination of the remains of the bomb disclosed the fact that the construction was such as to render it impossible for it to inflict serious harm.
