OLD SOLDIERS' CLAIMS.
* WELLINGTON, Jtjtt 14. Mr J. C. M'Eerrow, Commissioner, opened an inquiry on the naval and military claims to-day. About 160 applications are to be heard here, after whioh the Commissioner goes to the Wairarapa. Mr M 'Kerrow his received a number of letters asking if claimants have to come to Wellington, but it is his intention to visit all parts of the colony in turn.
