♦ INTERNATIONAL MINERS' CONGRESS. (Pkb Prbm Association.—Copyright.] LONDON, Jcne 13. The International Miners' Congress have carried a resolution approving of the nationalisation of the mines. The delegates representing the German miners abstained from voting, and the National Uoi6n delegates opposed the resolution.
The following telegrams have passed between the member for Itjvercargill and the Minister of Railways : Tfce Sinister Railways, Wellington.—Civil servants being granted three holidays on account record reUn, hope you will place railway men on eaijaf footing by granting three days additional to their annual leave of absence t which would suit all parties concerned at a minimum of expense to the department.-' J. W. Keliy. J. w. Kelly. record reign. Cabinet has decided to grant one day's leave on pay. to all railway hands uv the colony. This applies not only to permanent hands, but to all casuals who have bpen employed for four months continuously. -A.J.Cawun. , Minister Railways, "Wellington.—Astonished to find that Cabinetbaa decided to grant three holidays to Civil servants and refused my request to place railway men upon an equal tooting.
