The stories entitled 1 The Lover’s Leap ’ and * Time’s Amends ’ stand out distinctly superior "ti all the others submitted to us, and we have had seme difficulty in deciding between ddiem for first place, which we award to ‘The Lover’s Leap,’ with ‘Time’s Amends’ a good second. We place ‘Dorothy’ third. ‘The Tryst that was Kept,’ ‘TheDoctor’s Defection,’ and ‘The Deserted Hut’ are worthy of commendation, evidencing, as they do, constructive ability. P. LYNCH, C, F.
