ADELAIDE, October 30.
At a meeting of the creditors of Harrold Bros, the report of the inspectors wag averse to the proposal that the firm should carry on business under inspection. A motion was carried by a large majority in favor of an assignment of the estate. A meeting of the local branch of the British Medical Association unanimously decided that the late honorary staff should not return to the hospital until the charges brought against Drs Napier and Smith are investigated by an impartial tribunal.
BRISBANE, October 30.
A telegram from the Gladstone district states that the drought is being severely felt. The water holes are dry and the cattle are dying from thirst. The crops are ruined, and there is scarcely enough fodder to keep tho dairy cattle alive.
