At the cycling carnival the Great Wheel Race, of two miles, resulted as follows : H. Hourigan (HOids) ... ... 1 J. Carpenter (220 yds) 2 D. Grantor (190 yds) 3
A close finish. Won by half a wheel. Time, 4min 35 3-ssec. Parsons (Victoria) started from scratch, but could not make up his handicap. Pither was scratched.
