BRISBANE, January 29.

Heavy weather and tremendous rains aro reported from , the North. Fifteen inches fell at Clare on Sunday. The Townsvillc Railway is blocked, the water being thirty feet over the bridge. A dam burst at Ravenswood Junction and two bridges were washed away. There are heavy floods in many places, and communication with the Far North is now interrupted.
