REVENUE RETURNS.

WELLINGTON, January 24.

The postal revenue for the quarter ended 31st December, 1895, was £51,627, as compared with £49,463 for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The telegraph revenue was £36,702, as against £32,816.

In the savings bank business for the same period the excess of deposits over withdrawals was £32,739, as against £58,973 for the same quarter of last year. There was a fairly large increase in the value of postal notes paid and sold. .
