THE DECEASED PRINCE
[Per Press Association.]
LONDON, January 23.
It is expected that the funeral of Prince Henry of Battenberg will take place at Windsor Castle. The Emperor of Germany sent a message of. condolence to the Royal Family. Many meetings have been held in London and the provinces, at which resolutions of sympathy with the Queen have been earned in the loss of one who volunteered for service in a foreign country. The Prince's death has been a terrible blow to the Queen, who was most deeply affected, especially at the knowledge that her favorite daughter's happy life had thus been crushed.
The Queen passed a sleepless night, and is now far from well.
