SYDNEY, October 24.

Three more cases of smallpox have developed on the Cuzco, while three others show suspicious symptoms, as if in the recovery stages. All those affected are engineers and firemen, who are believed to have contracted the disease before leaving London.

MELBOURNE, October 24.

The Health authorities state • that they urged the removal of the cases before the steamer was allowed to proceed to Sydney, but the manager of the Orient Company refused to sanction it.
