LONDON, October 23,

There was a good attendance at the Antwerp sales, but no animation in the bidding. Two thousand four hundred bales of River Plate wool were offered, of which 1,600 were withdrawn. There Was no change upon the July rates for the bulk of the wools offered, but for superior sorts 5 to 10 centimes more were obtained.

MELBOURNE, October 23,

There is an improved tone, bidding is animated and keen, and prices show some advance on the opening rates. There is fully 15 per cent, advance on last season's prices for superior sorts.
