BENEVOLENT INSTITUTION TRUSTEES.
The weekly meeting of the Benevolent Trustees this afternoon was attended by Messrs Haynes (in the chair), Gourley, Bridgman, Brown, Swan, and Allan. The accounts passed totalled £264 12s Id. John M'Culloch, it was reported, died in the Institution on the 16th inst., aged aixty.six. The number of inmates in the Institution at the end of September was 270, and their coat for the month was £336 18s Id, an average of 6a 9gd per head per week. The figures for the corresponding month last year were: Inmates 260, total coat £320 3a 1 Id, average per head per week 5s 1 l^fd. About thirty-five relief cases were considered.
