MINING NOTES. Auckland, October 22.—The mining market is UDusually brisk in respect to Coromandel stocks. Bunker's Hill advanced to-day from 14s to 15s 3d ; " Welcome Find from 5s 4d to 5s 9d; and other Rales arc-Kapai Vermont, 14s; Maori Dream, 2s Fd ; Victor. 3s 7d ; Alpha, 7s 3d ; Grace Darling, 2s lid ; May Queen. 13s ; Victoria, 3s. There are buyers for Waihi Silverton at 48s, and no sellers. THE "GOLD KING" AMALGAMATOR. Yesterday's trial of the "Gold King" amalgamator was considered satisfactory, but we could obtain no-information as to the exact return from the tailings treated. On Saturday 4001b of black beach sand were operated upon, and the return was 22gr, which is at the rate of 2dwt per ton. In other words this means a return of 6s per hour to the miner working the " Gold King," and the owner of the machine was so satisfied with the test that he at once gave an order for a second machine, a larger one. The demand for the invention since it was put on the market nine months ago has been something phenomenal, and it has taken the company in America all their time to supply the demand. The San Francisco ' Journal of Commerce' says : " No one could ask for a more convincing proof of the merits of the invention than the fact that in a number of well-known mints throughout California and Colorado the old process-amalga-mating plates have been taken out and stowed away, leaving the ' Gold King' in possession of the field. THE LONDON MARKETS. The National Mortgage and Agency Company were yesterday in receipt of the following cable advice from their London office:—"Rabbitskins have advanced Id since August.
