A SAILING RACE.
The Queen’s Drive Sailing Club held a sweepstake sailing race on Saturday afternr on at Port Chalmers. Seven boats started. The result was as follows;—W. Douglas’s Volunteer, 1; D. Carr’s Rose, 2. The Harriet came in first, but was disqualified through using a centreboard, this being against the rules of the club. MrT. Hafrah acted as starter and judge.
The Otago Yacht Club open the season on Saturday, the 2nd of November.
