A LIBEL CASE.

QUEENSTOWN, August !.
At the sitting of the District Court today, before Judge Ward, the case of Robert Millar Findlay v. John David Thomson, a claim of j£loo damages for -libel, was heard. Mr Hanlon (with him Mr Gilkinson) appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Mac Donald (of Roxburgh) for the defendant. After hearing evidence, the taking of which lasted nearly all the day. His Honor gave judgment for plaintiff for 40s and disbursements.
