OUR BANDS.
TO TUB EDITOB. Siu,—What has become of all our musicians, that not one band gave an open-air concert on Christmas Eve ? I am certain that a large number of the crowd passing up and down the streets last Monday night were disappointed at not having Signor Squarise's band to~ listen to in the Octagon. Our' country friends, also, would undoubtedly like to hear some music. In previous years it has generally been the custom for one band at least to play in the Octagon on, Christmas. May I express the hope that Signor Squarise will lead his band in the Octagon on Monday night (New Year's Eve) ? If another band were stationed in the Triangle it would add to the enjoyment of myself and a great number of others.—l am, etc., Lover ov Music. Dunedin, December 31.
