Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin (subject to any necessary alterations), as under;— For Northern Ports, overland, daily, at 10.30 a.m., C.P.O. Late letters, mail van, North train, at 11 a.m. Monday, August 20. For Lyttelton and Christchurch.—Per Flora, at 2.20 p.m. Late letters, C.P.O. at 2.30 p.m. Tuesday, August 21. For Northern Ports, per North express (to connect with the Flora at Lyttelton), at 10.30 a.m. Late letters, mail van, North express, at 11 a.m. . Wednesday, August 22. For Northern Forts. Per Tarawcra, at 4,20 p.in. Late .letters, C.P.0., at 4.30 p in. DIRECT MAIL SERVICE.

Wednesday, Auoust 22. Tlic direct steamer Doric will leave Lyttelton for Plymouth via Rio dc Janeiro on Thursday, August 23. Mails close here as under for the United Kingdom and Foreign Countries, etc., on Wednesday, the 22nd, at 10 a.m. Money orders, books, and newspapers, at 9.15 a.m.

Parcels for the United Kingdom, etc., per Doric, will close at 9.30 a.m.

Registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 22nd. Late letters, mail van, North express, at 11 a.m
