VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.

The Engineers mustered at the Garrison Hall yesterday morning, and, headed by the Engineers’ Band, marched to St. Andrew’s Church, wh?rc service was conducted by the Rev. R. Waddell. An admirable sermon appropriate to the occasion was delivered, the preacher taking the text of his discourse from 2nd Timothy ii., 3. Captain Beal was in command of the parade, and a number of sacred marches were played by the band going to and returning from the church. The parade state was: Company—Captain Beal, Surgeon Will, Lieutenants May and Barclay, 1 sergeant-major, 1 bugle-major, 1 quartermaster, 4 sergeants, 4 corporals, 1 bugler, 42 privates; total, 58. BandBandmaster Jackson, 1 sergeant, 1 corporal, 37 bandsmen; total, 30. Grand total, 88. Staff-sergeant-major Castle was also present.
