WORK AND WAGES.
CHRISTCHURCH, Jra-Y 14.
At a meeting this morning of over 100 men who are out of work a resolution was carried "That the meeting urge on the Government the absolute necessity for immediate relief being found for the families of men at present out of work." As no reply has been received from Wellington to the telegram sent yesterday, the meeting adjourned.
