The water is, however, falling Up stream, and serious damage is not apprehended. Arrangements for a third match between the New Zealand Rugby team and New South Wales are almost completed. Bathurst is willing to forego its fixture ou receipt of £6O from the local Union and getting a mid-week match. It is hardly likely that the New. 2ealanders will play Bathurst just before New South Wales. MELBOURNE, July 14. A Bill has passed the Legislative Assembly reducing the salary of future Governors to £7,000, and the honorarium of members of Parliament to £270. BRISBANE, July 14. The labor vessel Helena has arrived from M'layta. The captain states that he did not hear of any .massacre there, and believes the recent report to be without foundation.
