' Otago Daily Times ' and ' Witness' Company v. John Pauley (St. Bathans).— Claim, .lift lUs (id, for 'Witness' subscriptions. —Judgment by default, with costs. H. S. Fish, jun., ami Charles S. Owen (trustees in the estate of Henry Walden) v. George 1). Stewart (Balclutha). -Claim, I*lo 03 9'd, goods, cash assistance, etc. The Hon. J. Macgregor appeared for plaintiffs, for whom judgment was given by default, with costs.
Elizabeth Macdonald v. .James Cox (of Owake). —Claim, £'), for services rendered. I)r Fitchett appeared for plaintiff.—Jolin Macdonald was examined, and judgment was given by default, with costs. « Henry Groeott v. Alex. Campbell.—Claim, t'o 14s, on a judgment summons. Mr A. S. Adams applied for an order.—Defendant, who was not present, was ordered to pay the debt by lith July, in default seven days' imprisonment. James M'Bride v. Michael John Doyle. - Claim, t'4 17s'id, on a judgment summons. Mr James applied for judgment. A month ago defendant was granted an adjournment, so that he might make arrangements for payment, but he bad done nothing, and did not now appear, though he was present when the onward date was fixed.—Order that the debt be paid in monthly instalments of 10s. in default seven days' imprisonment.
