The action of Mr W. Saunders, M.P., in not attending divisions on the Home Rule Hill, on the ground that the House of Commons is incompetent to givo Ireland a new constitution, is being followed by Mr Thomas Henry Kolton, Liberal member for St. Pancras North. Ministers fear the abstention may prove contagious.
The Government have accepted an amendment to the Home Rule J3ill debarring the Dublin Parliament from sending representatives or having relations with foreign State*.

All amendment refusing the Irish Par* liament power to tax absentees was rejected by .'s,">, and another withdrawing the power to appoint judges lost by 63.
