BOARD MEETINGS.
West Taieri.— The meeting of this Board was held on Monday ; present—Messrs Snow (chairman), Andrews, Allan, Bathgate, Chisholm, and llastic. A resolution was carried making a special rate of 1 2-9 d in the £ for the present year for paying interest on loans and £42;1 annual instalment of principal. Messrs Allan and Hastie were authorised to get some repairs done to lower end of embankment. The £B,OOO loan is now reduced to £3,400. Henley.—The meeting of this River Board on Friday was attended by Messrs Stevenson (c'hairinan), Anderson, and Fleming, The pjerk was Instructed to take the necessary stops to get the two vacancies in the Board filled, Notice was given of a special 1 Mid rate for payment of interest on the £3,320 loan, and for the payment of the annual instalment (£200) of the principal sum.
