Shi, —lam pleased "to see that someone has thought it worth while to write under the above heading drawing attention to the able manner in which Constable Cooney performed his duty in tho Octagon the other night, by arresting the three larrikins destroying the flower beds. I agree with “Sundowner” in saying that Constable Cooney’s action ought to receive some notice from tho Reserves Society, and trust that at their next meeting they will not overlook the fact that it is only by watchfulness on the part of the police that the reserves can be protected,— I am, etc , 13 to 1.
