A MINING DISASTER.

By an explosion in a coal mine at Charleroi, 300 miners have been entombed, but hopes are entertained that they will all be rescued alive, Id ARCH 13. Fifty-six miners have been rescued from the mine at Charleroi. It is now believed 200 of the men have been killed by the explosion, [Special to Pbess Association.] BRUSSELS, March 13. (Raoelved Uarch 14, 1892. at 11.25 a.m.) The Charleroi colliery, in which the explosion took place, has caught fire, and the work of rescue has had to be abandoned. It is believed that 140 persons have perished, including five women.
