The proportion of reserve to liabilities is 32.02 per cent. Consols, 95J. New Zealand 4 per cent, itucnbed stock, 102 ; 3J per oent. do, 93J. New Zealand long-berried wheat, 45s (quiet). Canterbury mutton, 4d. Beef, forequarters, 3Jd; hindquarters, 3Jd. There is a moderate demand for hemp, *nd prices show a slight advance. Fair quality is quoted at L2O. , South Australian wheat, 45s 6d (quiet)-; 1 Victorian, 453 (flat). Forward business .is inactive, and foreign arrivals large. There are no Australasian cargoes off the coast or in ports of call. Sugar: German beet, 14s 9d (quiet); Java, 16s 6d. No. 1 best Scotch pig iron (f.o.b. in the Clyde), 47s (flat). Antimony, L 52 10a. The returns for the month of December show a decrease of L 1,500,000 m the exports and an increase of L 3.800.000 in the imports. ■
