STONES' DIRECTORY.
This indispensable work has now reached its ninth year of publication, and we have to thank Messrs Stone, Son, and Co. for a copy of the latest issue—that for 1892. Looking through the volume, whioh now reaches a balk of nearly 900 pages, we recognise again the care and ability with which the various classes of information are compiled and arranged. The street directory is corrected to the latest possible period; and as a guide to matters connected with pastoral affairs, municipal and county business, harbor boards, athletic and friendly societies, volunteers, postal and tele* graphic arrangements, railways, coaches, and other Bubjeots, the particulars are reliable and comprehensive. Further, the legislative enactments passed last session are digested and set forth in simple and concise language, and the Customs tariff embodies the latest decisions. The whole book is faithfully indexed, and in every respect the publication is one that refieots the greatest credit not only on tbe compilers, but also on the printing department ; for Messrs Stone, Son, and Co. now do their own printing. It is highly satisfactory to see a purely unedin work issued in so presentable a;' rm as Stones' Directory always displays.
