*. —.. The monthly meeting of the Forbury School Committee, held on Wednesday evening, was attended by Messrs Hancock (chairman), Wardrop, Portoous, and Davidson, A circular wps received from Mr H. Clark soliciting the nomination and vote of the Committee for bis election to tbo Education Board, ft was decided to call for tenders for the erection of two play-sheds. The meeting of the Morningtpn School Committee on Wednesday evening was attended by Messrs Horslmrgh (chairman), Auatlng, Bisk, Mesres, and Reynolds. It was decided, in view of the success of the concerts lately held, to provide tbo school with appliances for the teaching of physios. At the monthly meeting of the High street School Committee, held last evening, all the members being present, Mr James Waddell Sy)it,h, who has held the position of first assistant in school for a number of years, was recommended to the Education Board for the position of head-master.
