TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— Of all the miserable teapot storms ever raised in this colony, the Seacliff Asylum one is the most contemptible and sickening. The unscrupulous individual who began the trumpery fuss, and those now endeavoring to cortinue it, ought to be ashamed of themselves—and would be, if they had any sense of shame at all. The whole thing, in all its detai-.s, is paltry in the extreme, and reflects discredit on all concerned the superintendent of the asylum excepted, Judging by the evidence brought out at the iate needless inquiry, he is the only one who has shown anything like a true manly spirit and sense of honor.
