WELLINGTON, January 17,
The Harbor Board have decided to offer the City Council an annual contribution of L 25 towards the funds of the brigade, on the understanding that the latter are to attend any fires occurring on the wharves or shipping, and that the captain of the brigade should periodically inspect the Board’s fire-extinguishing appliances. The question cropped up in connection with the recent fire on the Arawa.
