LUNATIC ASYLUM APPOINTMENTS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l see Dr King, of Wellington, has been appointed to the charge of the Seacliff Lunatic Asylum. On referring to the 'New Zealand Medical Register' I find he graduated less than three years ago, and consequently cannot have had much experience to qualify him for so responsible a position. It is odd that in succession he is the second house surgeon of the Wellington Hospital who has been appointed to an asylum within about the past fifteen months. This looks as if no one outside that favored city need
