VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.
The Port Chalmers Naval Artillery held an inspection parade on Friday night ; present—Captain Thomson, 2 lieutenants, 4 first-class petty officers, 4 second class, 1 bugler, and 38 seamen gunners ; total, 50. After the inspection, Captain Thomson presented the prizes to the successful winners in the late shooting matches. Five new members were elected, which brings the corps' number up to eighty.
