It considers his restoration would hinder tranquillity and defer pacific relations with the Powers. [Special to Press Association.] Berlin, April 12. The ' Post' states that the betrothal of Prince Alexander to Princess Victoria has been abandoned. It is stated that Prince Bismarck is determined to resign the Chancellorship, and that the difference between him and the Emperor over the betrothal was only a pretext.
