Lillywhite’s team concluded their innings at Sydney yesterday for 402. Shrewsbury made 206, and Pougher 24. Turner secured four, Ferris two, and Jones two wickets. The Australian team made 266, Jones being not out with 144. M‘Donnell scored 29, Edwards 24, Turner 17, Trott 15. iThe match Vernon’s team v. Victoria, at Melbourne, was continued yesterday. The finglishmen concluded their second innings for 368 runs. Read made 111 (nit out), Attswell 24. Tho Victorians’ second inivnm closed for 135. Walters made 24, M Tlwraith 21, Robertson 18, and Bruce 14. Vernon’s tam thus won by 252 runs. Mr Charles Beal, manager of the Australian team, when interviewed by a representative of the Melbourne ‘ Daily .telegraph ’ on the events of his team, speaking of tho Tasmanian representative, said : I am not prepared to say whether we will take him or not. Shrewsbury, Lillywhite, Smith, and Brann do notj return to England till after the tour of the English footballers. The Aus tralian team of cricketers will not sail till Saturday, as it Is not yet complete.
