Austin with 10 being the only batsman to make double figures ; while North Dunedin scored 132 for three wickets, Baker being not out with 79, M'Farlane making 24, and Grieve 11. Warehousemen v. Wanderers resulted in a draw in favor of the former, the scores being Warehousemen 106, Wanderers 53 for six wickets. Warehousemen Second beat Albion Second by 18 runs on the first innings. Port Chalmers beat the Wanderers' team by 18 runs on the first innings. Grange Second beat Edendalo on the first innings by 20 runs. (Received January 1,1888, at 5.50 p.m.) The matoh between Vernon's English Eleven and a Combined Australian Team was commenced to-day. The ground was in good condition, and there was a large attendance .of spectators. The visitors went first to the wickets and succeeded in totting up 292 before being disposed of. The bowling of tho Combined Team was excollent, and Trotb (South Melbourne) succeeded in performing the hat trick. Appended are the scores :-A. E. Stoddart, 10; W. W. Read, 10; Abel, 0; Peel, 0; M. (Received January 8,1888, at 3.1 p.m ) The cricket match between Lillywhite's Team and Eighteen of Sandhurst was drawn. The Englishmen in their first innings scored 389, the principal scorers being Ulyett 64, Preston 78, and Pilling 67. The Sandhurst first innings totted up to 165 and the second to 161 for six wickets.
