Count Hatzfeldt, German Ambassador to the Court of St. .lames, started suddenly for Berlin after conferring with the Marquis of Salisbury, who came to London especially for the purpose of an interview. The European situation is causing great uneasiness, and complicated reports which are current only add confusion to the difficulty. The Russian Government have given no assurance regarding the movement of the troops fn Roland through Prince Lobanoff, Russian Ambassador to the Court of Vienna, nor has'“ any explanation been made to the German and Austrian Ambassadors at St. Petersburg.
