For Northorn Ports.— Waihora, at 1.50 p.m. Late letters, Chi. f Post Office, at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dkcbmbbr 29. For Southland, Australian Colonies via Hobart, India, China, Japan. Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, etc—Per Wairarapa, at 2.20 p.m. Money orders (for Australian Colonies only), reentered lottora ?nd newspapers, at 1.20 p.m. Late kttan. Chief Post Offioe, at 2.50 p.m. Letters for the United Kingdom must be specially addressed, and paid Is per }oz.
Christmas Day falling on Sunday, Monday, the 20tb, will bo observed as a close holiday. Mails usually despatched on Monday will be closed at 8 p.m. on Baturd»y, tho 24th Inst., and a delivery over the counter for town letters will bo made from 8 30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. samo evoning. On Tuesday, the 27th inst., the office will bo open from 9 a.m. tilt 10 a.m.
