Reuter informs us that an extensive fire broke out at Redfern (Sydney) yesterday, Horden's bedding and furniture factory

being almost entirely destroyed. The damage is estimated at about L 30.000, of which L 12,000 is covered by insurance. The risks are divided between several offices. At one o'clock this afternoon a fire broke out in Baynes Broß.' grain store, Manchester street, Ohristchurch, which was destroyed, with the adjoining store, occupied by Robinson Broß. The buildings, which belonged to Creyke, an absentee, were insured in the Union for LSOO ; Baynes's machinery, L3OO, and stock LIOO, in the Colonial. Very little was saved. Robinson's stock was'uninsured. The fire began up-stajrs in Baynes's store. ; WELLINGTON, December 23.
